The name "Porto Franco" is related to the capital city of Adjara Autonomous Republic - Batumi, which was established in the late 19th century as a free economic zone. Historically, the brothers Nobles started transporting oil to Europe through the Batumi port. Batumi is the oldest European city, where one and a half century ago dozens of embassies and consulates operated.

Irakli Turmanidze
Irakli Turmanidze holds a degree in International Law, having studied in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
He commenced his career in the Legal Department of the Georgian Parliament, later leading the Legal Committee's apparatus in the Batumi Parliament. In this role, he ensured effective functioning and coordinated discussions on legal matters, upholding the rule of law regionally.
Following his parliamentary experience, Irakli successfully managed various businesses before founding Mardi Holding. Leveraging his extensive knowledge and experience, he has guided the company to maintain a leading position in the local market for over 30 years.
